Postgraduate or graduate education refers to studies for which a Bachelor Degree is generally required. Postgraduate education leads to a Master Degree, typically one or two years of full-time study following a Bachelor Degree, or to a Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate of lesser duration, typically between 4 months and a year depending on the program and centre of learning. A Doctoral Degree, Doctorate or Ph.D. is the highest academic level of award in higher education.
