Acting.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Acting for Film (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Program offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. Every week, students get the opportunity to practice the techniques and skills they have gained in class to exercises that are shot and reviewed.

Business & Management Entertainment.

  • Business and Management of Entertainment Certificate, UCLA Extension. Students gain an understanding of industry business practices by taking foundation courses that include pre-production, production, and post-production, as well as specific courses in business and legal affairs, finance and accounting, and marketing and distribution.
  • Entertainment Studies Certificate, UCLA Extension. Designed for those who are interested in exploring careers as filmmakers and content creators in all sectors of the industry, this certificate program is ideal for students who possess a passion for entertainment and prefer to shape their own program from a wide variety of areas, including acting, directing, cinematography, development, and producing.

Documentary.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Documentary (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Program offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. Designed to educate talented and committed prospective documentarians in a hands-on, total immersion, professional and supportive environment.

Film Studies.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). You will receive over 2,000 hours of hands-on instruction and actual production experience. Program is offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. Students shoot projects on 16mm film, 35mm film, High-Def, Super 16mm, and the RED ONE camera system. All projects are edited digitally.
  • Directing Certificate, UCLA Extension. This immersive program teaches participants the essential principles of the art and craft of directing. Beginning with simple exercises, students progress to directing an original short movie that is screened for an invited audience.
  • Cinematography Certificate, UCLA Extension. Designed for those who want to become cinematographers or camera operators. After taking a series of foundation courses, students gain skills in camera techniques and digital technologies while developing an individual aesthetic and artistic point of view.
  • Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Program offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. Students will follow a rigorous program of classroom study, self-directed projects, instructor-led Production Workshops, and school-facilitated collaboration with New York Film Academy students across different disciplines.
 

Photography.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Photography (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Students are given unique opportunities to engage with an incredibly diverse international student body on the campus at Universal Studios, Hollywood, CA. embraces today's state-of-the-art cameras as tools that produce not only still images of unprecedented resolution, but also high-definition video of astonishing quality.

Producing.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Producing (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Program offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. It is geared to students with little or no experience in producing, but who recognize that an intensive and demanding program, much like the job of producing itself, will provide them with the knowledge they seek.
  • Producing Certificate, UCLA Extension. Gives participants an insider view of the "real world" aspects of producing, providing the essential skills and knowledge needed for both creative and physical producing.
  • Development Certificate, UCLA Extension. Ideal for those interested in becoming development or acquisitions executives and creative producers. You will gain an understanding on how to write coverage, develop compelling stories, and make a project attractive to potential to potential buyers.

Screenwriting.

  • Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting (2 years), New York Film Academy (NYFA). Program offered at Los Angeles Campus at Universal Studios. In addition to learning the conventions of the writing craft, students are given the support and structure to write and meet deadlines.
  • Television Writing Certificate, UCLA Extension. A focused and results-oriented course of study in which they write 2-3 television spec scripts, either in the hour drama or half-hour comedy format.
  • Feature Film Writing Certificate, UCLA Extension. Offers more than 200 courses in feature film writing and television writing annually. You will write one to three feature film scripts.
