Aviation Management.

  • Bachelor of Aviation Management, Massey University. 3 years. Designed to provide human factor, aviation psychology and aviation management competencies relevant for candidates entering the aviation industry, or employed in aviation (with or without professional licences) but with no previous tertiary qualifications. Prepare for management roles or upgrade skills.
  • Graduate Diploma in Aviation, Massey University. 1 year. Designed for people already within the aviation industry who wish to obtain a tertiary qualification. The goal of this programme is to expand knowledge in areas that may enhance current industry experience. Compulsory papers in Aviation Management Systems and Human Factors provide a sound base along with six elective papers to build a qualification that is aviation specific.

Aviation – Commercial Pilot.

  • Bachelor of Aviation – Air Transport Pilot, Massey University.  3 years minimum.  Professional aviation degree.  Audited by the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAANZ) for the award of aviation documents (personal licences). Selected by Air New Zealand as a collaboration partner and preferred training provider for the Air New Zealand Aviation Institute. Students who obtain their professional pilot's licence may proceed for an Air New Zealand "Airline Induction Course". If they are successful in the selection process they will be placed in a "pool" of preferred pilots for induction by Air New Zealand.
