Chemistry.

  • BSc (Hons) Chemistry, University of Central Lancashire. 3 years. A Chemistry degree furnishes much of the material base of modern civilisation, and chemists are a constant source of innovation for its further benefit. Throughout the course the key elements of Physical, Inorganic, Organic and Analytical Chemistry are strongly underpinned by laboratory classes.
  • BSc (Hons) Analytical Chemistry and Forensic Science, Coventry University. 3 years/4 years sandwich. Analytical chemistry and molecular science techniques are employed to solve crimes and are used in a diverse range of industries from public service analysis to cosmetic manufacture.
  • BSc (Hons) Forensic Chemistry, University of Central Lancashire. 3 years. The nature of chemical evidence in the investigation of crime is diverse and may include drugs of abuse, accelerants, fibres, paints and pigments to name but a few, therefore a good background in chemistry and its associated analytical techniques is imperative.
  • MChem Chemistry, University of Central Lancashire. 4 years. Interdisciplinary approach combining organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry to provide cohesive units that demonstrate the interdependence of each.

Mathematics and Statistics.

  • BSc (Hons) Mathematics, Coventry University. 3 years/4 years sandwich or study abroad. Accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
  • BSc (Hons) Mathematics, University of Central Lancashire. Covers a range of topics from pure and applied mathematics and statistics. 2012 Guardian League Table for mathematics, UCLan was rated 5th in the UK with 99% of students satisfied with their education.
  • BSc (Hons) Mathematics and Statistics, Coventry University. 3 years/4 years sandwich or study abroad. Mathematics and data analysis from business forecasting and simulation to medical statistics and survival analysis. Accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
  • BSc (Hons) Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Coventry University. 3 years/4 years sandwich or study abroad. Strong practical approach to modern applied mathematics and theoretical physics, detailed and varied insight into topics such as control theory, quantum and statistical mechanics and fluid dynamics. Experience to work in professions such as accountancy, computer analysis and industrial design where analytical skills are highly prized.
