Postgraduate in Switzerland

Qualifications and duration.

  • Master Degree. 3 to 4 semesters (depending on the field of study) awarding 90 to 120 ECTS credits.
  • Doctoral studies. 3 - 5 years, depending on program and method.

Tuition fees.

  • International (non Swiss students), CHF1,300 to CHF8,000/year.
  • Swiss students, CHF 1,300 to CHF 4,000/ year.
  • Scholarships are offered by the Swiss Government to foreign students.

Can I work while I study?

  • EU students are permitted to accept a part-time job for a maximum of 15 hours/week without the requirement of an additional permit or notification.
  • Non EU students can work part-time for a maximum of 15 hours/week but only after residing in Switzerland for a minimum of 6 months, with the exception of Master Degree students holding a Bachelor Degree from a university outside Switzerland.

  • Bachelor Degree. 3 years (1 year is equivalent to 1,500-1,800 hours of study).
  • Foundation Degree. Generally 2 years, with a work-based learning focus.
  • Higher Diploma. Equivalent to the first two years of your Degree.

  • International (non Swiss students), CHF 1,300 to CHF 8,000/year.
  • Swiss students, CHF 1,300 to CHF 4,000/ year.

Foundation/Gap year in Switzerland

Quite distinct from a Foundation Degree, a Foundation Year or Foundation Programme is a ideal if you want any of the following:

Work Experience/ Internship in Switzerland


All the Hospitality programmes, as a part of the learning curriculum, include a paid internship for 6 months at the end of each academic year.

High Schools in Switzerland

We work with schools that have proved their capacity to provide a safe, caring environment. While some schools require an academic year or two years, it is possible to complete shorter stays such as 10 weeks or a term.

English and Test Prep in Switzerland


If you wish to study at a university or specialized college in Switzerland, you may choose to also improve your English here. The schools offer excellent customized English language programs for direct entry into Graduate and Undergraduate programmes.

  • 2 to 52 weeks. It all depends on your level at starting point and your objective level.
